Some mothers tell WPRO they have been waiting nearly two years for jeweler made from samples of their own breast milk. Owner Allicia Mogavero says she has been open with customers about the long delays, saying her process of turning milk into jewelry is time consuming. However early invoices and screenshots of her website do not indicate the wait would approach two years.
Mogavero says she is simply behind on orders and that her customers will eventually get what they paid for.
The local jeweler made national headlines in 2013 when she began turning mother’s breast milk into pendants.
