PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – Police say a Providence man with a long criminal history was involved in a multi-city police chase that caused a crash.
WPRI-TV reports that police pursued the 24-year-old man after he refused to pull over in East Providence on Wednesday morning.
Investigators say he turned the wrong way on Plain Street and collided with another car.
Police have charged him with reckless driving, eluding a police officer, marijuana possession and other driving offenses.
He is due back in court in September.
