Former friend of Aaron Hernandez, Alexander Bradley took to the stand Wednesday testifying to the jury he saw the former Patriots tight end handle a pistol the prosecution believes to be the murder weapon.
Bradley said while on a trip to Florida he saw Hernandez hold what appeared to be a Glock semi-automatic pistol month before Odin Lloyd was killed. Bradley was prohibited from telling the jury Hernandez allegedly shot him in the face while on the trip; Bradley has brought a civil suit against Hernandez.
Bradley testified his relationship with Hernandez stemmed from being his marijuana supplier and grew into a closer friendship. He said he frequently stayed at Hernandez’s North Attleboro home and remembers seeing a revolver-style handgun in a safe.
Bradley was also question by lawyers for both sides prior to the jury being let into the room. During that time, Bradley revealed Hernandez was suspicious of others and was afraid he was under surveillance; saying helicopters were following him and refusing to use iPhones because he believed they could be used to listen in on his conversations.
Judge Susan Garsh urged jurors not to take any testimony presented by Bradley as intent on Hernandez’s part to commit murder.
