Gas prices in Rhode Island have fallen slightly to an average $2.44 for a gallon of regular.
AAA Northeast says in its weekly survey released Monday that the average price of a gallon of gas has fallen a penny from last week, although it’s 20 cents higher than a month ago.
A year ago, the price was $1.16 higher, or 48 percent, at $3.60 per gallon.
The price in Rhode island is two cents higher than the national average of $2.42 per gallon.
