SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) – School officials in Smithfield say a custodian shoveling snow off of the high school’s drains fell through a skylight and into the classroom below.
WLNE-TV reports that Superintendent Robert O’Brien says a female custodian was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries Wednesday.
O’Brien says a group of custodians were on the roof of Smithfield High School at about 8:15 a.m. to shovel snow off of the drains. He says the custodian fell about 12 feet.
