A vote to decide whether or not Deborah Gist will become the next Superintendent of Tulsa Oklahoma schools could take place next week, according to Tulsa World.
The Tulsa news website reports that Gist and one other candidate may be voted on during a special meeting by the school board next Monday. The final interviews for both candidates are scheduled for the weekend.
Gist announced on Tuesday she had applied for the superintendent position in her hometown of Tulsa saying, it was “too exciting of an opportunity to forgo.”
Gist’s contract expires on June 30.
