Providence Police seized four firearms overnight in two separate arrests, bringing the total of confiscated firearms to ten on the year.
Early Thursday morning, Police responded to reports of shots fired on Royal Street. When an officer responded he observed a car make a speeding turn onto Donelson Street to evade capture.
Officers traced the vehicle to a home on Cypress Street, and once inside the residence, found three firearms in the bedroom of 20-year old Julian Lomba.
In a separate incident Wednesday evening, officer arrested Karl Vazquez, age 34 after police pulled him over for driving an unregistered car. During the arrest, Vazquez reached into his waistband and threw a .45 caliber pistol and a loaded magazine onto the floor of his car.
