Providence fire crews were called to the scene at Charles Street after the Pearl Restaurant caught fire early Wednesday morning.
Fire fighters arrived at the restaurant around 2:00a.m. and quickly escalated to a two-alarm blaze before crews put the flames out.
The establishment was closed at the time and there is no word on what caused the fire; the arson squad is investigating for any signs of foul play.
No injuries were reported.
