Warwick Police announced they have charged a Certified Nursing Assistant with stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly dementia patient.
Eunice Xavier, 42, of Cumberland was charged with two counts of felony larceny for allegedly stealing $7,000 worth of jewelry. Xavier was hired by the family to care for the elderly woman.
The family reported they noticed pieces of jewelry missing from the home after Xavier hired. An investigation by police revealed Xavier had sold approximately 80 items to pawn brokers since 2007.
