HOPKINTON, R.I. (AP) – A Hopkinton man has been severely injured in a crash of his all-terrain vehicle.
The Westerly Sun reports that police say the unidentified 48-year-old man was hurt Monday night when his ATV flipped.
Hopkinton Police Chief Dave Palmer says he appeared to be alone and was not wearing a helmet when the crash happened.
He was found unconscious and was taken by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Tuesday.
Palmer says there were no witnesses to the crash.
