Cumulus Media (WPRO, 92PROFM, LITE ROCK 105 and HOT106) and Operation Stand Down Rhode Island will join forces Tuesday to benefit the Holly Charrette House in Johnston.
A charity luncheon will be held at the Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown and will feature a panelist of women veterans from Rhode Island; 100% of all proceeds will go directly to the Holly Charrette House.
The Holly Charrette House was founded by Operation Stand Down to provide female veterans and their families with transitional housing and food, clothing, and employment assistance. The house is named in honor of Marine Corporal Holly Charrette, a graduate of Cranston East High School who was killed in action in 2005 while serving in Falujuah. Charrette was the first female Marine to be killed in Iraq.
The luncheon runs from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
