The Providence Police Department has confirmed that both men reportedly collecting blank ballots at the Crossroads RI were both police officers.
Last week, a worker at reporting seeing men enter the building collecting mail-in ballots; a resident of the shelter reported that one of the men urged him to vote for Cianci.
While collecting sealed mail-in ballots is legal, collecting or writing in a fake ballot is a felony offense.
Early Monday it was also revealed that video of State Representative Scott Slater had surfaced reportedly showing him collecting a blank ballot; Slater is a supporter of Democrat Jorge ELorza.
