PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – The body found in a trash bin in Providence last month has been identified as a Providence father who had been reported missing in June.
Police say 42-year-old Augustin Jaiman, known as Nito, was found in the trash bin left in the woods.
Jaiman’s wife, Evelyn LaFrance, says her husband had been involved in criminal activity as a younger man, but he was no longer involved in it. She says he had turned his life around and was focused on providing for their four children.
A few years ago, Jaiman helped build their home, which they received from Habitat for Humanity.
LaFrance is asking anyone with information about her husband’s death to go to police.
