New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is expected to make an appearance in Rhode Island Friday to support fellow Republican Allan Fung in his campaign for Governor.
The website NJ.com reports that Rhode Island is just one stop in a tour of the East Coast to throw support behind the Republican ticket; Christie’s first stop was in Connecticut on Monday.
The Press Secretary for the Republican Governor’s Association Jon Thompson Tweeted that the New Jersey governor will travel to Florida on Wednesday, Pennsylvania on Thursday, and both Rhode Island and New Hampshire on Friday.
Someone close to the Fung Campaign said the visit is expected for Friday.
