Coast Guard officials say emergency responders have found the body of a 73-year-old woman who was reported missing from a boat near the Bristol shoreline.
Authorities say Barbra E. Mills, 73, of Tiverton was reported missing Sunday by her husband. Their boat is anchored about 100 yards from the shore.
The Coast Guard and the Narragansett Bay Marine Task Force searched the area and found the woman’s body shortly before 10 a.m.
Officials say it’s not clear what happened. The Medical Examiner’s office is conducting an autopsy to determine a cause of death.
