The Warwick Police Department issued more than 200 seat belt and child seat violations during their Click It or Ticket campaign.
The campaign ran from May 18 to 24, and was part of a national movement to ensure safety on roadways.
Over the course of the campaign, Warwick Police issued 204 seat belt violations, arrested 5 motorists for operating with suspended licenses, arrested 4 motorists for operating under the influence, and made various other unrelated arrests.
The Rhode Island House of Representatives voted last month to renew the law that allows police to pull drivers over solely because they’re unbuckled.
