Lance The Liar
At what point did spilling your guts on camera to Oprah Winfrey replace “bless me father, for I have sinned?” Apparently, saddling up next to the Queen Of All Media and begging forgiveness washes your slate cleaner than a litany of Hail Marys and Our Fathers. Oprah confirmed on the CBS THIS MORNING show (and anyplace else that’ll give her struggling network a plug) that Lance Armstrong had confessed to doping during his cycling career in an interview to air in two parts Thursday and Friday on her OWN network. Winfrey says she and “her team” who were in the room during the taping were “mesmerized and riveted” by some of Armstrong’s answers. Winfrey says she thinks the most important questions and the answers that people around the world have been waiting to hear were answered.
So what consequences could Armstrong’s confession carry? Past sponsors could sue for brand damages, he could have to repay some of the winnings he earned during his career, and he could even face perjury charges for lying under oath about doping. His mea culpa could also have serious consequences for other folks too, organizations and companies if they’re found to have helped him juice or aided in his coverup.
One thing’s for sure, loads of legal beagles will be glued notebooks and pens in hand to Thursday and Friday’s night’s broadcast.
Cookie Season
Get ready for your doorbell to ring and being cornered at work because it’s Girl Scout cookie season a
gain. A new cookie being introduced this year’s causing a bit of a stir….. The MANGO CREAM with NUTRIFUSION. The tropical fruit inspired cookie is supposed to be a healthier alternative to Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Sandwich and Samoas. It’s made up of two round coconut biscuits with a mango flavored cream inside infused with NutriFusion, a patented vitamin product. Some critics say NutriFusion’s just another attempt at making junk food SEEM healthier. The makers of NutriFusion say it contains no chemicals and is 100% natural made up of dehydrated and powdered fruits and vegetables (yum)
Sorry, but MANGO CREAM with NUTRIFUSION’S off my list. If I’m gonna eat a Girl Scout cookie, I want to be as decadent as possible! Let’s go to the tote board:

LEMONADES 2 cookies 150 calories
