The iconic Coast Guard House in Narragansett plans a limited reopening this weekend, bouncing back after being battered and inundated by Superstorm Sandy last fall.
Owners tell the WPRI.com website that they will offer limited service on the restaurant’s deck in time for the Memorial Day weekend, and plan to phase in the rest of the restaurant throughout the course of the summer.
The building, made of stone like the nearby Towers, dates to the 1800’s, and has survived numerous storms. Sandy crashed ashore, ripping out the windows and left the building open to the sea.
