CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) – A homicide victim whose burning body was found in a Cranston cemetery last week was an aspiring rapper followed by thousands of people on Twitter and YouTube.
Twenty-two-year-old Gandy Kaydea of Providence was known as "Young Shad." His burning body was found in the Pocasset Cemetery last Wednesday night.
Cranston police are still investigating his death and haven't made any arrests. They say the killing was possibly gang-related.
Kaydea was the father of an 8-month-old girl.
His song, "Providence Girls," has been listened to on YouTube more than 2,500 times.
