Seasonal hiring occurs throughout the year and your seasonal jobs could be posted at any time for any season.
Whether you're hiring summer resort employees, tax season help, or holiday retail workers, make sure your seasonal jobs are getting the attention they deserve. Here are two great ways to ensure that job seekers will find your seasonal jobs:
1. Use the Job Duration Drop-down
When creating your job select "Seasonal" from the Job Duration drop-down menu. Your job will then show up in every search where the job seeker selects "seasonal" for Job Duration. Also, if they choose to view all job durations (default), they will see it as well. This is the best way to get seen by a job seeker looking specifically for seasonal work.
2. Use the Word "Seasonal" in Your Job Title and Description
Keywords are an easy way for job seekers to find your jobs. To make sure your seasonal job is seen by everyone who might qualify or know someone who does, you would need to add the word "seasonal" to your job title and/or your job description. Job seekers who perform a keyword search using the term "seasonal" will see your job in their search result. This will also capture the attention of job seekers who filter out "seasonal" jobs in the Job Duration feature.
Although it's advisable to start advertising seasonal jobs at least four weeks in advance of when the position is due to start, many employers start advertising four months or more ahead of schedule to allow for proper planning and screening time as well as attracting the best candidates early, before your competitors do the same.
