Steven Bustamante, the fiancée and Ramonita Cortes, mother of Sullynette Sanchez met Tuesday in the office with their attorney, Joseph Baillirano to talk about Sanchez's death, and the non-criminal traffic charges against Benjamin Servideo, the man involved in her death and that of her unborn child.
"I just want justice to be served and for him to pay for his actions," said a tearful Bustamante Tuesday. "That's all I ask. Regardless, my family is never going to come back, but he was the reason why they're not here."
Sanchez died in a three-car accident in East Greenwich in September when 24-year-old Servideo rear-ended her car. Sanchez was 23-years-old and nine months pregnant.
Sanchez's son, Daryel, was delivered by emergency Cesarean at Women & Infants Hospital, but died three weeks later.
Sanchez worked in admissions at the University of Rhode Island, where she was an alum.
Although Servideo was not criminally charged, it is likely he will face a wrongful death lawsuit.
