Just hours after TMZ released pictures of 20-year old Miss Universe Olivia Culpo drinking alcohol during her freshman year in college, she appeared on the WPRO Morning News. The Cranston native poo-pooed the article, and spoke openly to Gene Valicenti. "It's the truth! Everybody drinks under the age, which of course isn't legal, but I hope that whoever scrapes up these pictures knows that it's something a lot of college kids experience."
Culpo also addressed her recent appearance on the O'Reilly Factor where she was asked about legalizing marijuana. She told Valicenti she probably surprised the Fox anchor with her opinion of not wanting to make pot legal for recreational use. "I think that legalizing marijuana would tell people that it's okay and that it's harmless, which it's not… for us to come out randomly and tell them it's okay and harmless… it scares me," Culpo said. She also told Gene that the O'Reilly experience was "no easy interview."
As to her own experience? The recently-crowned Culpo said she never used it and for those who use regularly? "They don't lead the lifestyle that I want to lead." That lifestyle now includes appearances and events; Culpo is the first American to win the Miss Universe crown in 15 years.
