Providence Firefighters are on the the scene of an apparent transformer fire at the Manchester Street Power Station near downtown Providence. Black smoke can be seen billowing from miles away. The fire appears to be contained to an area on the outside of the building. The source of the fire is unknown, and there are no reported injuries.
