Several municipal leaders throughout Rhode Island have joined WPRO this week to talk about their opposition to the ‘evergreen’ contract bill that has been passed by the RI General Assembly and is awaiting Governor Raimondo’s signature. The bill would lock in wages and benefits in expired public employee contracts until a new contract is in place.
