Warwick Police confirmed on Friday that they’re investigating the death of a nine-year-old.
Police said they responded to a medical call in Oakland Beach on Thursday night. The child, who had a previous medical condition, later died at Kent Hospital.
Police and DCYF are “conducting an extensive investigation” into the death and may release more information when appropriate. WPRO has reached out to DCYF for comment.
