A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car in Fall River.
Fall River Police said the woman in her forties was hit Monday afternoon near Highland Avenue and Prospect Street. Officials saw her suffering from serious injuries when they arrived at the scene and transported her to Rhode Island Hospital.
Police said the driver of the car did stop at the scene and is being interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. Police ask those with information about the crash to contact Officer Kevin BShara of the Uniform Division at 508-676-8511.
