Providence, RI – The Providence VA Regional Office welcomed E. J. McQuade as its new Director during ceremonies on December 6, 2016 in Providence.
McQuade, a former Marine Corps officer and recent graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government’s Senior Executive Fellows Program, has served VA in a variety of management roles at the Salt Lake City Regional Office, the San Diego Regional Office and most recently as Director of the Togus Regional Office in Maine.
“It’s always exciting to take on a new role in leadership in VA,” said McQuade, “but especially thrilling to lead a very high-performing office like Providence.”
Dignitaries on hand for the installation ceremony included Acting Undersecretary for Benefits Thomas Murphy, Fred Sacchi, President of the local chapter of the American Federation of Government Employees, Kasim Yarn, Director, RI Office of Veterans Affairs, CSM Moises Moniz, RI National Guard and Brigadier General Arthur Floru, of the RI National Guard.
