Rhode Island retail powerhouses Cardi’s Furniture and Ocean State Job Lot announced they will be teaming up to open a new split storefront off of route 6 in East Wareham Massachusetts.
The duo will be setting up shop in an old Walmart on Cranberry Highway; both businesses will split the 125,000 square-foot space.
Pete Cardi joined WPRO’s Gene Valicenti Wednesday morning, saying he and his brothers are excited about the new partnership.
“The group is just a fun group to work with, we’ve been down to their headquarters in North Kingstown […] it’s just been a fun relationship,” said Cardi.
The partnership is expected to create 60 to 80 new jobs.
