The Department of Environmental Management has confirmed a person is dead following a boat crash off of Napatree Point in Westerly.
DEM Spokesperson Gail Mastrati says the accident happened around 10:30a.m. Tuesday.
“It was a collision between two vessels; a body has been recovered from the water and we continue to investigate,” said Mastrati.
The Coast Guard, Westerly Police, and the Connecticut Department of Transportation are also on scene.
