NEW YORK (AP) — A man suspected of shooting three people in New York’s Times Square, including a 4-year-old girl and a Rhode Island woman, was arrested Wednesday in Florida.

A law enforcement official briefed on the matter says Farrakhan Muhammad was taken into custody near Jacksonville, four days after the shooting Saturday that rattled the Big Apple tourist haven known as the “Crossroads of the World.”

Muhammad was listed Wednesday in an inmate database for the Bradford County, Florida sheriff’s office. Information on a lawyer who could speak on his behalf was not immediately available.

Wendy Magrinat, 23, of Scituate, Rhode Island was visiting New York with her husband when she suffered a bullet wound in her leg. Doctors were unable to remove the bullet safely.

“While there is no joy today, there is justice,” said New York City Police Commissioner Wednesday. He said the shooter will eventually be returned to New York.
