FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) – A Massachusetts man has been killed after he was accidentally run over by a car driven by a family member.

Prosecutors said Monday that 52-year-old Alan Moreau, of Taunton, had driven with a 71-year-old family member to pick up a car from a Fall River tow shop on Saturday.

The two were leaving but had stopped to fix a bumper on one of the vehicles.

When they were done, the family member got into his car and drove off, not realizing that Moreau was still underneath the car.

Prosecutors say they won’t file criminal charges.
