1. Snarky Puppy at the Strand Theatre in Providence – Friday May 10

Displaying a rare and delicate mixture of sophisticated composition, harmony and improvisation. Fusion-influenced genre-bending Snarky Puppy make exploratory jazz, funk and rock. Formed in Denton, Texas in 2004, Snarky Puppy feature a wide ranging group of over 30 musicians affectionately known as “The Fam” centered around bassist, composer and bandleader Michael League. Each live performance features a selection of 8-12 musicians from the rotating cast, insuring that each show is different not only due to ever-changing set lists but also because of the various permutations of musicians. 4. Whitesnake at Twin River – Saturday, May 11

Multi-platinum rockers Whitesnake, featuring David Coverdale, comes to Twin River on Friday night, and will feature songs from their new studio record alongside their biggest hits & songs from one of the great back catalogues in rock ‘n’ roll history spanning over 40 years. TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE.

5. Arts & Eats at Sons of Liberty – Kingstown Road, South Kingstown, 02879 – May 11, 11am-6pm

Saturday, May 11 from 11am-6pm, join 30+ unique artists, a variety of food trucks, cold and delicious drinks, and live music. The event is free to attend. Enjoy your food and beverages outside with the artisans and music or head inside and take advantage of the seating throughout the tasting room and it’s unique seating options (21+ only inside after 5pm). Curated by Field of Artisans, the market will comprise of a variety of artists from all over New England. Local food trucks will be provided by PVD Food Truck Events and Food Trucks In. The Sons of Liberty tasting room will be open serving beer, whiskey flights, and craft cocktails using 100% Sons of Liberty made ingredients.

South County Trolley & Transportation, LLC will be providing a free shuttle from the Peace Dale Elementary School (0.2 miles away) throughout the day – last shuttle back around 5:30pm. Please do not park across the street at Pump House Music Works or in any spots marked off by cones, those are reserved for other tenants of the mill.
