The Providence Performing Arts Center is announcing plans to bring every 10th grader to a show this coming season. Theater President Lynn Singleton says the initiative will be called Experience PPAC, something he hopes will continue well into the future.
“We’re trying to build the audiences for the future and provide opportunities for students and the people in the educational worlds who otherwise wouldn’t come to see shows at PPAC,” he said.
PPAC says it’ll be buying an additional matinee, three shows during its coming season, and the cost to bus the kids from their schools back and forth to the landmark theater.
