Rhode Island Education Commissioner had his own “Bobby Knight” moment during a taping of Fox Providence/myRITV television program Dan Yorke State of Mind today, expressing frustration at Rhode Island’s low test scores released last week.
When Yorke said to Wagner, “I want you to throw a chair, I want people to understand that this isn’t funny, this is unacceptable, and it’s not true that kids perform…” Wagner did just that, throwing his chair and exclaiming “This isn’t funny, it’s not acceptable and it’s not true that our kids can’t do it, they CAN do it!”
