Rhode Island ranks 42 out of 50 in Forbes Magazine’s annual list of the best and worst states for business. The annual listing ranks states according to factors including business costs, labor supply, regulatory environment, economic climate, growth prospects and quality of life. Last year, Rhode Island ranked 46th out of 50.
