PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — An East Providence man accused of exposing himself on a Massachusetts beach could face additional charges.
WPRI-TV reports 45-year-old Andrew Butler waived extradition Monday in Providence District Court and was taken back to Massachusetts.
Last week, Westport, Massachusetts police asked the public to help identify a man who a woman said exposed himself on Gooseberry Island. The woman took a photo of the man as he left.
Six more women came forward saying the man had exposed himself to them.
Investigators say they received a report that a man resembling Butler had recently followed women around a Kohl’s store in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
Butler is charged with open and gross lewdness and could face more counts based on the other complaints.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for Butler.
