Girls Night Out

Girls Night Out is an art and fashion shopping experience hosted by ArtProv Gallery located at 150 Chestnut Street in Providence’s Jewelry District. The event will feature local designers selling their clothing and accessories, including jewelry, dresses, wearable fiber and millinery art, and handbags, as well as original artwork by the artists in ArtProv Gallery’s current exhibit, Fashion Statements, including: Patricia Canney, Susan Freda, Holly Gaboriault, Larisa Martino, Kyle Ragsdale and Kelly O’Neal.

Bike with the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council and Sarah Zurier of the Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission to explore settlement and industry on the Woonasquatucket River. Highlights will include the Brown and Sharpe Manufacturing Company Complex, Riverside Park, Dyerville Mill and a visit to the Clemence-Irons House in Johnston, one of the oldest houses in Rhode Island. Bike and helmet are required.

Spring Weekend Harbor Seal Encounters

Woonsocket Rotary Days – Touch-A-Truck

Sunday, May 15, 10:00am-4:00pm, Homestead Gardens200 Industrial Drive, North Smithfield, RI 02896

The program will have a special appearance of the Mutt Cutts van from the movie “Dumb & Dumber,” and a screen-authentic “Back to the Future” tribute Delorean accompanying an outdoor showing of Back to the Future the movie with the Delorean lit up in neon during the movie at 7 p.m. May 14. All proceeds generated from this event are returned to the community through the Rotary Club of Woonsocket and its efforts to support the community through its local charities.
