WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — A Rhode Island Public Transit Authority official says a bus has crashed into a building on Post Road.
The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian was on the scene and told WPRI-TV that four passengers and the driver were trapped inside the bus.
RIPTA spokeswoman Barbara Polichetti says RIPTA security personnel were on the scene. She had no further details.
A Warwick Police Department spokeswoman declined to comment.
There’s no word yet on injuries.
The crash was first reported by WPRI.
