CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) — Cranston police are using social media to help solve the cold case of a woman who was strangled in her home nearly 30 years ago.
No one has been charged in the 1986 death of Donna Fisher, who was killed on her 39th birthday in Cranston.
WPRI-TV reports that police have created a Facebook page (SEE HERE) about the case that they hope will generate leads.
Capt. Vincent McAteer says police are turning to social media because it’s a “phenomenal platform” that can reach a lot of people.
He says authorities want to get the message out that they haven’t forgotten about the case and are still working on it.
