Steven Pietrowicz and Michelle Morin stood in shackles and with their heads hung low in district court Wednesday morning for their arraignment in the murder case of Massachusetts man Domingo Ortiz.
Both were ordered held without bail and face charges of murder, conspiracy, felony assault, and failure to report a murder.
Pietrowicz and Morin were charged earlier this year after the body of 60-year-old Ortiz was found buried underneath their newly constructed deck. Police say Ortiz was beaten to death following a night of drinking.
Tuesday, it was announced two more suspects from Pennsylvania had been indicted on charges related to the murder.
Both are due back in court next year on January 21.
