PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – Police have released the identity of a Providence man found fatally shot on a sidewalk.
Police spokesman Maj. David Lapatin said Sunday the victim was 48-year-old Robert Denson. He was found not long after 7 a.m. Saturday on Hillcrest Street near some woods.
Lapatin told The Providence Journal the man did not live near where he was found in the Manton neighborhood.
The killing is the 13th homicide in Providence this year.
No one has been arrested.
