Three men were arrested Thursday night in Cranston on charges of armed robbery after police responded to reports of an assault near the intersection of Cranston Street and Depot Avenue.
Police say the suspects allegedly pistol whipped a 29-year-old man and then fled the area in a black Ford F150 with New York plates. The vehicle was stopped a short time later by Providence Police.
The three men were identified as Alexander Collins of West Warwick, Eric Perkins of Cranston, and Antron Dublin of Providence. A female suspect was also detained.
All three were charged with first degree armed robbery; both Collins and Perkins are superior court violators and Dublin is on federal probation.
All three were ordered held without bail.
