The boxing biopic following the life of Rhode Island world champion boxer Vinny Paz has been bought for $4 million in distribution rights.
Entertainment website The Wrap reports the film was purchased by independent distributor Open Road after its screening at the Cannes Film Festival.
The film starring Miles Teller will depict the comeback story of Warwick boxer Vinny Pazienza who won two world championship titles a year after his neck was broken in a car accident in 1991.
The film was produced by East Greenwich-based Verdi Productions, and scenes of the film were shot in Rhode Island.
