Call it fandom or fanaticism, but supporters of the New England Patriots have started a crowd-sourcing page to raise money towards paying the team’s Deflategate fine levied by the NFL.
The gofundme.com page is asking for $1 million from Pats fans to be donated entirely to the team after the organization was punished by league Commissioner Roger Goodell over the Wells report implicating employees in the Deflategate scandal.
In the description, page creator Michael Whitman says he will personally deliver the money to the Patriots if enough money is raised.
The page has been shared on social media over 3,000 times and has raised over $2,000.
