The 16-month old Pawtucket boy who was hospitalized after his father struck him with a car has died. Pawtucket Police tell WPRO News they were notified of Maxwell Teixeira’s death by the Medical Examiner’s office on Friday.
The boy was critically injured Tuesday in what investigators have unofficially labelled a tragic accident. Witnesses say the boy wandered behind the vehicle while it was being moved.
The incident is still under investigation.
