Judge Sarah Taft-Carter heard pre-trial motions to dismiss claims by public workers and retirees who feel they were harmed by the state’s 2011 changes in pension rules.
The move would delay the start of the pension lawsuit; there is no indication on when Taft-Carter would rules on the motions.
Additionally, Taft-Carter did not indicate when she would address the ongoing vote by unions and retirees on a final offer settlement by the state, nor would she comment due to the gag order she placed on settlement negotiations.
The jury trial over the lawsuit is set to begin on April 20.
