Cranston Police are investigating after gun shots were reported in the area of Auburn and Woodbine Streets last weekend.
Police say on March 15 they responded to shots fired and found five shell casings from a .9mm handgun on 156 Woodbine Street. Further investigation revealed the bullets had been fired at a garage door. A forensic investigation led to police questioning residents in an apartment at the same address, however the residents were uncooperative.
Major Todd Patalano says police were able to obtain a warrant and search the premises.
“With the assistance of our special reaction team, entry was gained ad two individuals were located inside and they were people of interest and they are currently being questioned by our detectives at headquarters,” said Patalano.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
