PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – Two men have been sentenced for their roles in the killing of a Providence teenager.
Attorney General Peter Kilmartin says 20-year-old Seydina Ndoye, of Providence, and 19-year-old Alain Bedame, of Pawtucket, were each sentenced to serve 30 years of a 70-year sentence, with the remainder suspended with probation.
Seventeen-year-old George Holland was visiting his girlfriend’s house on Feb. 4, 2014, when he was shot through a window. Prosecutors say the intended targets were his girlfriend’s brothers. Holland was a Central High School football player.
Prosecutors say Ndoye and Bedame helped plan the murder and were in the car outside the house. They pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and other charges.
Ndoye’s attorney, Thomas Connors, says his client is a good kid who made bad choices. Bedame’s attorney said he had no comment.
