Twin River is set to revisit their proposal for a hotel with the Lincoln Town Council this week.
The casino’s chairman, John Taylor, Jr., plans to make a PowerPoint presentation before the council Tuesday evening, outlining the specifics of a proposed hotel on the property.
In order to make the hotel a reality, Twin River needs to get the state to lift a law prohibiting the construction of hotels on casino property. The Town of Lincoln would also need to adjust its zoning to accommodate the hotel.
Last month, the casino announced plans to construct a four-story, 150- to 250-room hotel on the grounds, something they said would make it more competitive with other casinos planned for Massachusetts.
“It’s critical for the State and the Town that Twin River remain competitive and that revenue and jobs are preserved,” Taylor said in a statement issued last month. “We see the addition of a small hotel as a valuable amenity and one we would very much like to further explore.”
The proposed hotel would be attached to the casino and would include a spa, meeting rooms and room service to guest rooms.
