A man was killed late Tuesday night after a drive-by-shooting on Potters Avenue in Providence.
The Associated Press reports that Michael A. Comacho was killed Tuesday night around 11:45p.m.
“The victim was operating his car on Potters Avenue headed toward Elmwood Avenue,” said Providence Police Major David Lapatin, “And around Melrose Street apparently another car pulled near and started firing shots.”
Lapatin said the victim was struck but the car continued to roll towards Elmwood Ave where it collided into another vehicle. The Comacho was declared dead on the scene.
Lapatin said police have made no arrests, however they are following up on leads. He continued to say it appeared to be a targeted incident but would not say if it was gang related.
